To provide a microscopic recess working device capable of forming microscopic recesses with excellent accuracy to a circumferential surface of a work, and reducing the working cost.
The microscopic recess working device for forming microscopic recesses in an inner circumferential surface Ba of a cylinder bore B comprises a pair of form rollers 13 of the same diameter, a roller supporting member 12 with both form rollers 13 juxtaposed on the same axis, and a tool holder 10 to hold the roller supporting members 12 by a roller shaft 19 via an oscillating shaft 11 orthogonal thereto in an oscillating manner. The tool holder 10 is arranged so that the axis of the inner circumferential surface Ba is parallel to the roller shaft 19. A compressive coil spring 16 to press the form rollers 13 against the inner circumferential surface Ba, and a spindle 3 to roll the form rollers 13 pressed against the inner circumferential surface Ba by relatively rotating the cylinder bore B and the tool holder 10 around the axis of the inner circumferential surface Ba are provided. The form rollers 13 are pressed against the inner circumferential surface Ba in a constantly perpendicular manner thereto.
