Title:
MICROSTRIP ANTENNA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05145327
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture by sending a signal through a microstrip line to a radiation element through electromagnetic coupling between a radiation element and a patch and allowing a wave to radiate from the element so as to eliminate the need for the connection of two dielectric plates with a feeding pin.

CONSTITUTION: A rectangular non-conductor part 24 is formed to a ground conductor plate 22 on the front side of a dielectric plate 2 opposite to a radiation element 11 on a dielectric plate 1. A patch 23 whose length is smaller than a transmission wavelength is arranged in the non-conductor part 24 and connected to a microstrip line 21 with a feeding pin 25. Through the constitution above, the patch 23 is electromagnetically coupled with the radiation element 11 and the signal sent through the microstrip line 21 is efficiently fed to the radiation element 11 via the feeding pin 25 and the patch 23. Since the feeding pin 25 is inserted only to the one dielectric plate 2 or connected by a throughhole, manufacture is facilitated.
