To make it possible to absorb microwaves over wide band and obtain a high absorbing efficiency by forming a microwave absorbing material from multilayer asymmetric substance which has electric conductivity.
A microwave absorbing material is formed of multilayer asymmetric substance which has a electric conductivity. As for the multilayer asymmetric substance with electric conductivity, composite transition metal dichalcogenide expressed by a chemical expression MxA1-xch2 is used, where M and A are different transition metals and ch is chalcogen and x is a range wherein the composite a transition metal dichalcogenide takes a multilayer asymmetric structure. The Fig. shown here is a phase diagram of RexNb1-xSe2. This is obtained by a method wherein a mixture of metal powder of Re and Nb which are mixed at specified blending ratio and Se particles are sealed in vacuum and then is heat-treated at 950°C for three days for unification and then is annealed at a specified temperature for seven days and then rapidly cooling and after that the structure of the mixture is analyzed by X-ray diffraction.
