In the microwave baking furnace 1 having a baking furnace main body 2 provided with an introduction pipe 3 for microwave connected with a microwave transmitter 17, an enclosure composed of a thermal insulating material 11 arranged in the inside of the baking furnace main body and allowing microwave to penetrate, a case body 10 arranged in the inside of the enclosure composed of the thermal insulating material and generating heat by microwave, an atmospheric gas supply means for introducing atmospheric gas 4 into the inside of the case body, and an exhaust means 7 for communicating the inside of the case body with the outside of the baking furnace main body, an atmosphere heating part 6 adjacent to a side face of the case body and heating the atmospheric gas composed of a material heated by microwave before the atmospheric gas reaches the case body.
