Abstract:

PURPOSE: To compensate the temperature characteristic and increase the stability for a microwave oscillator using a dielectric resonator, by providing a control voltage generating circuit containing a temperature-sensitive resistance to the element that can control the oscillation frequency according to the voltage.

CONSTITUTION: The output of an oscillating transistor 3 is branched by a hybrid circuit 4 to be applied to an output terminal 6 and a dielectric resonator 1. Then the output is applied to the transistor 3 from the oscillator 1 via a voltage control phase shifter 2 to form a feedback-type resonator. The oscillation frequency is controlled by giving a control to the phase by the shifter 2. The control voltage generating circuit 5 generates the control voltage of shifter 2, comprising a temperature- sensitive resistance, variable resistance and the like to generate the control voltage for temperature characteristic for compensation of the temperature characteristics of oscillation frequency.
