Title:
MICROWAVE OVEN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01234718
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to cook food with heat and scorch it slightly, by providing a magnetron to an oven frame and removably installing over said magnetron a shelf plate coated with a microwave heat generation substance so as to scorch food slightly.

CONSTITUTION: A magnetron 4 is installed to one side 3a of an oven frame member 3. A pair of bars 5 are formed on both the inner side walls 3b of the oven frame member 3. A square-shaped shelf plate 6 designed to scorch slightly and deliciously food W to be cooked, is removably installed horizontally. This scorching shelf plate 6 generates heat on the lower surface of a substrate 7 by microwaves. More specifically, the shelf plate is coated with microwave-based heat generation substances, such as tin oxide, antimony, titanium, and tungsten. When the surface of food W is slightly scorched during heat cooking, the radio waves transmitted from the magnetron 4 heat and cook the food W from the inside. At the same time, the scorching shelf plate 6, coated with a microwaves heat generation substance 7a, generates heat by microwaves, thereby cooking the food W from the inside and forming uniform scorched surfaces on the food W.
