PURPOSE: To improve easiness of use by a constitution in which bar codes are read and the reading is stored in a memory and a desired information is selected from the stored information and this information is sent to the main body in a microwave oven of bar code type with a remote controller.

CONSTITUTION: A bar code reading means 7 reads bar codes which have a plurality of informations such as cooking program information, name of menu, material information, etc. which are mutually related and makes a memory 8 store information. Then, by operating a control means 9 the memory means 8 has stored information displayed on display means 10. From displayed information a desired information is selected, and this selected information is conveyed to a controller from a signal transmission means 11 to control a microwave oven.
