Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent an interruption of an observation by employing two dummy loads as an antenna temperature calibrating low noise source, selectively switching the dummy loads by a switch and thus always calibrating the temperature.
CONSTITUTION: Dummy loads 2a, 2b are mounted at the positions different from each other on a satellite body in such a manner that, when one is affected by the sun and the moon, the other may be used by operating a switch. Since this configuration can always calibrate the antenna temperature by directing either one dummy load toward the cold space in the universe, it can prevent an interruption of an observation.
