Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the switching performance and to reduce a switching loss by dividing an input microwave signal by plural folded magic T, connecting them by the system of a quadrature mix microwave coupler and forming a multiplex switch microwave switch. CONSTITUTION: The outputs of phase shifters 32 and 34 are simultaneously sent to the input ports 40 and 42 of the other quadrature mix coupler 44. At that time, a signal input arriving at the input ports 40 and 42 is equally divided between output ports 46 and 48 and the signals are advanced by 90 degrees in the same phase. It is connected with a signal component from the output port 20 of a quadrature mix coupler 18 and it is phase-converted by 0 deg. or 180 deg. in accordance with the state of the phase shifter 32. When the phase shifter 32 operates to connect the phase of 180 deg., all the signal components of an output part 52 become the same phases and additive. Thus, a switch 10 is a single pole double throw switch constituting the whole parallel connection constitution elements arranged in an appropriate matrix.
