To provide a microwave treatment device and a microwave treatment method wherein power conversion efficiency is improved and a microwave generating device can be prevented from being damaged by reflection power.
By controlling a microwave generating part 300 before the main heating of an object, a microcomputer 700 sweeps frequencies of a microwave generated by the microwave generating part 300 across the total frequency band of 2,400 MHz to 2,500 MHz, and memorizes a relation between the reflection power and the frequencies detected by a reflection power detecting device 600. Then, the frequency when the minimum reflection power is shown from the memorized relation between the reflection power and the frequency is extracted as the main heating frequency. Afterwards, the microcomputer 700 generates microwaves of the main heating frequency by the microwave generating part 300 at the main heating of the object, and radiates them into a cabinet 501 from an antennae A1.
