Abstract:

The system for frothing and heating milk has a mixer unit (1) with a steam inlet (3) which has a constriction downstream from it. An air inlet (4) opens into the constriction and a milk inlet (6) below it. A main channel (2) connects the constriction with the milk inlet and a second steam inlet (5) opens into it. Independent claims are included for: (a) an espresso machine fitted with the system; and (b) a method for frothing and heating milk using the system.
