Title:
MILLED WOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06280128
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a good milled woven fabric having short and uniform fluffs on the surface by carrying out water milling of a woven fabric using air false twisted spun yarn comprising staple fiber containing wool.

CONSTITUTION: Rovings 1 of staple fiber containing wool such as the wool and polyester fiber, the wool and nylon fiber, the wool and acrylic fiber, the wool and rayon, etc., are fed to an air false twisting type spinning apparatus 10, successively led to back rollers 11, middle rollers 12 having aprons (12a) and front rollers 13 and formed into a fleece, which is then passed through air swirling nozzles 14 and 16 and an untwisting pipe 15 to provide single spun yarns, which are subsequently doubled to form two folded yarn. The resultant two folded yarn is further subjected to the yarn dyeing to a prescribed color and woven into a 2/2 right-hand rising twill woven fabric. The prepared woven fabric is then subjected to scouring, water milling, wet decatizing, drying, shearing and blowing or dry decatizing in a decatizer to afford a saxony woven fabric having short and uniform free ends of the fiber on the outside of the yarns regularly protruding as fluff to the surface of the woven fabric.
