Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage in a chip pocket by scraps generated in high-speed rotation cutting machining while realizing multiple blades of an exchange type blade miller.SOLUTION: A miller insert is detachably attached on an insert attachment formed on tip peripheral part of a tool main body of a blade exchange type miller rotating around axis line. The miller insert comprises a polygonal plate insert main body 1. A cutting blade part 3 comprising a rake surface 3A on a polygonal surface 1A is arranged on a corner part C of the polygonal surface 1A on the insert main body 1. On a position facing to the corner part C of the polygonal surface 1A with an interposed rake surface 3A, a bank-shaped part 4 projecting from the polygonal surface 1A is formed in a manner extending to a direction crossing two ridge parts of the polygonal surface 1A crossing the corner part C viewing from opposing direction to the polygonal surface 1A.
