Title:
MINERAL FIBERBOARD AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3914528
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive mineral fiberboard excellent in fireproof properties and aesthetic properties and capable of preventing a sagging phenomenon accompanied by moisture absorption when used in a ceiling material, and its manufacturing method.
SOLUTION: A back layer, of which the coefficient of linear expansion is larger than that of a base material layer, is laminated to the back of the base material layer to be integrated therewith. Resin rich slurry 12 containing mineral fibers, an inorganic powder and a binder as main components and obtained by adding a resin, of which the coefficient of linear expansion at the time of moisture absorption is larger than that of the binder, and water to the main components to mix them with the main components, is subjected to a wet papermaking process to form the back layer and this back layer is laminated to and integrated with the base material layer obtained from slurry 13, to which the resin having the large coefficient of linear expansion is not added, by a wet papermaking method.
