Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a minus ion generator which can adequately control minus ion volume in correspondence with the temperature/humidity change of use environment without making the device larger.
SOLUTION: The minus ion generator 1 is provided with two minus ion generating means of a Lenard minus ion generating means 2 generating minus ion by crushing water into fine particles, and an electron-emitting minus ion generating means 3 generating minus ion by emitting electrons into the air through impression of negative high voltage on an acerous discharge electrode. When the temperature of use environment a temperature sensor 5 detects with a control means 4 is below a given temperature, minus ion is generated by the Lenard minus ion generating means, and when it is above the given temperature, minus ion is generated by the electron-emitting minus ion generating means.
