Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically transfer data when exchanging the disk of the mirror disk device mounted on an FA controller or the like.
CONSTITUTION: The same peculiar number as a peculiar number written in respective disks 1 and 2 and a drive name to be a master disk are recorded in a set-up memory 7 mounted on the mirror disk device and these data are collated with the peculiar number written in the disk so that the master disk can be discriminated or data can be automatically transferred to a slave disk. Since manual data transfer at the time of disk exchange is automatically performed, valid data can be prevented from being lost by a manual instruction error, etc.
