Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the function and the design of a door mirror, by arranging a handling lever offset forward from the mirror body, as well as connecting the handling lever to the mirror body through a pair of upper and lower links extending longitudinally. CONSTITUTION:A door mirror 1 is composed of a mirror housing 6, a mirror body 5 attached with a mirror main body 4, and a mirror body angle adjusting system to rotate the mirror body 5 around an approximate vertical axis and an approximate horizontal axis. The mirror angle adjusting system is composed of a handling lever 13, a parallel link set 19 consisting of a pair of upper and lower horizontal rods 19a and a pair of front and rear vertical rods, and a connecting plate 17 with a hinge 17a to support the center of the vertical rod. In this case, the handling lever 13 is formed of an arm 14 and a handle 20, and offset farther forward from the mirror body 5. And, the connecting plate 17 is fixed at the expanding part 18 of the mirror body 5.
