Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the removal of a mispick at the time of occurrence of a picking mistake, thereafter sure separation of a weft yarn, picked and beaten just before the mispick from a weaving shed and simple takeout of the weft after the separation from the shed.
SOLUTION: When a picking mistake occurs, a loom is stopped. The pick of a mispick 3 related to the picking mistake is then found in a weaving shed after stopping the loom. The mispick 3 is removed from the interior of the shed by a pulling force of a mispick takeout means 11 and the pick of a weft yarn 2 picked just before the mispick 3 is found in the weaving shed. A reed 14 is then advanced and a weft yarn pulling means integrally movable with the reed 14 is thereby brought near to the end of the weft yarn 2 picked just before the mispick 3 to hold the end of the weft yarn 2. The reed 14 is subsequently retreated to thereby remove the weft yarn 2 picked before the mispick 3 by the pulling force of the weft yarn pulling means while peeing the weft yarn 2 held with the weft yarn pulling means from the weaving shed.
