Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect and prevent forgetting the return operation of an input/ output
CONSTITUTION: A prescribed access command (1) is issued to each input/output device, and the answer of the commend (1) is stored as a default state. When a maintenance job is completed, the answer of the command (l) is compared with the stored contents of a storage medium. Based on the result information on this comparison, the input/output device having the high possibility of forgetting a return operation is recognized. Furthermore a prescribed sense command is issued and the switch state information is transferred. Thus a suspected switch is pointed out. The switch to be operated in maintenance is not locked, and an operation mode switch, etc., which performs a set changing operation is validated with the temporary set operation carried out by the non-locked switch in a maintain task state. Then a default state is secured by the power cut/reapplication processing or the operation of a specific switch when a set state caused by the maintenance operation is continuous end a valid state is set for write protection, etc.
