To provide a mist generator which generates mist by carrying a liquid to the vicinity of an atomization portion, while generating a fixed amount of mist and spraying it at a fixed height.
The mist generator includes: a water storage tank; an atomization portion which atomizes the liquid by an ultrasonic vibrator; a drive control portion which controls the drive of the atomization portion; a carrying portion which forms a part of flow path for carrying the liquid to the atomization portion; a pressurizing portion which pressurizes the liquid stored in the water storage tank, and presses it so as to reach the atomization portion through the carrying portion; a frequency detection portion which detects a frequency at the time of vibration of the ultrasonic vibrator; and a voltage conversion portion which converts the frequency detected by the frequency detection portion into a voltage. The pressurizing portion adjusts the pressure pressing the liquid using the voltage obtained by the voltage conversion portion.
