PURPOSE: To make a mist hair dryer portable and handy by separating a mist generating unit into a mist generating part and an air pump part, and positioning them separately at one end and the other end of a dryer housing.

CONSTITUTION: A handle part 2 is protruded from a dryer housing 1 incorporating a heater 13, a fan 15 and a fan motor 14. In addition, a mist generating unit is composed of a mist generating part 3 with a water tank 36 and an air pump part 4 supplying the mist generating part 3 with air. Then, the mist generating part 3 is mounted close to a vent 11 on one end of the housing while the air pump part 4 is placed on the other end side of the housing incorporating the handle port 2, and connecting pipes 43 and 44 join the mist generating part 3 and air pump part 4 together. As a result, the mist hair dryer becomes both portable and handy because with this design the apparatus becomes well balanced in weight and does not require enlarging the handle part.
