Title:
MIXED FILAMENT SEWING YARN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6452841
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject yarn having excellent strength, regularity and sewing performance by making a specified filament number of sheath yarns having a specific single filament fineness and denier ratio around a core yarn free from slackening longer than the core yarn so as to form a loop, a coil, tangle, etc., to entangle the sheath yarns around the core yarn and to twist the sheath yarns around the core yarn.

CONSTITUTION: A core yarn A is passed through guides 1' and 2' to a feed roller 3' and supplied through a water imparting apparatus 5 to an air nozzle 6. Sheath yarns B are passed through guides 1 and 2 to a feed roller 3 and supplied to the air nozzle 6. While loops are formed, the sheath yarns B are mutually entangled or partially with the core yarn A and the loops are fixed to give the objective conjugate yarn C in which the sheath yarns comprising multifilaments composed of ≥8 filaments having ≤3 denier single filament denier and a denier ratio of ≤50% denier of the core yarn are longer than the core yarn by 10-30%, form a loop, coil, tangle, etc., entangled around the core yarn A free from slackening and twisted at 3,000/D1/2 to 6,000/D1/2 (T/m) (D is denier of conjugate yarn) and which has ≥5 loops having ≥1 mm projection height per meter, etc., ≥4 g/D tensile strength and ≤5% coefficient of variation of tenacity.
