Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable suction having high efficiency without generating turbulent flow in a suction port and a bell mouth, by suspending the tip of a screw impeller to the connecting part of the bell mouth, and expanding the suction port through a process of cutting the center side on the tip of the suspended impeller.
SOLUTION: With rotation of a screw impeller 1, vortex is generated near a bell mouth 5, or the generation is restrained by a protrusion 5c, and water in which vortex is restrained is allowed to smoothly flow from a suction port 5a of the bell mouth 5 into the bell mouth 5 along a straightening ring 5b. That is, the water is straightening by the straightening ring 5b and allowed to smoothly flow along the inner surface of the bell mouth 5, and suction having high efficiency can be performed. Since the tip of the screw impeller 1 is suspended to the upper end of the bell mouth, and also since a wide suction port 1c is formed by cutting the center side on the tip of the screw impeller 1, water is sufficiently fed to the center part of the impeller on which suction force is formerly decreased, and efficient pumping can be performed.
