Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a mixed ceramic yarn having excellent heat conductivity and far-infrared radiation characteristics and suitable for winter clothes, curtain, etc., by spinning a mixture of a polymer and powdery ceramic having excellent far-infrared radiation characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: The objective mixed yarn can be produced by dispersing a powdery ceramic having excellent far-infrared radiation characteristics [preferably alumina, magnesia, zirconia or mullite (3Al2O3.2SiO2) having particle diameter of preferably ≤1μm] at an amount of e.g. about 15wt% in a homopolymer or copolymer such as nylon, polystyrene, etc., and spinning the dispersion.
