To prevent a discharge to the outside of a gas in mixed water and to generate reduction potential water or oxidation potential water in which a desired dissolved gas concentration is stabilized.
A hydrogen water generating apparatus M configures a main generation line 1 including a gas/liquid-mixing pump 3 for mixing water and hydrogen, a primary mixer 4 for agitating hydrogen water, and a tank 5 for storing the hydrogen water. In the tank 5 storing the hydrogen water, the hydrogen supplied from a hydrogen supply line 10 is filled so that the hydrogen contained in the hydrogen water inside the tank 5 maintains a saturated state in the range of the partial pressure of an atmospheric pressure. Surplus hydrogen inside the tank 5 is recovered to the gas/liquid-mixing pump 3. When the value of the dissolved hydrogen concentration is higher than a desired value, a dilution control line 20 for increasing water in the main generation line 1 is connected to the main generation line 1.
