PURPOSE: To solve problems that large local oscillation signals are required so as to reduce conversion loss and the bias of the forward voltage is required to be applied to a diode so as to make the local oscillation signals small and to provide a balance type diode mixer with less conversion loss with the small local oscillation signals.
CONSTITUTION: A high frequency signal terminal 2 and a local oscillation signal terminal 3 are connected to first and second terminals provided with the isolation of a hybrid and first and second matching circuits 7a and 7b are respectively interposed between third and forth terminals and a tip open line 5 for high frequency short circuit. One ends of first and second diodes 6a and 6b are respectively connected between the first and second matching circuits 7a and 7b and between the third and forth terminals with reverse polarity, the other ends of the first and second diodes 6a and 6b are grounded and intermediate frequency signals are taken out through a first low-pass filter 8 connected to the tip open line for the high frequency short circuit.
