To provide a mixing device for an underwater placement pipe which can place materials at an optimum ratio depending on soil texture, has a simple and inexpensive ship group structure and a simple and inexpensive device, facilitates application to an increased capacity, can carry out large-scale placing work, minimizes direct contact between water and slug, suppresses the subaqueous separation of the materials and the generation of white turbidity, and contributes to the prevention of the degradation of a subaqueous environment, and to provide a method of mixing the interior of the underwater placement pipe.
The mixing device for the underwater placement pipe is formed of: an underwater placement pipe 30 which is mounted to a pontoon for underwater placement, and set from the pontoon for underwater placement toward a subaqueous bottom; a charging port 39 which is formed in an upper portion of the underwater placement pipe for charging the placing materials; agitation blades 34 which are arranged in the underwater placement pipe and connected to a rotating shaft 33; and a driving motor 32 which is arranged at the upper edge of the underwater placement pipe for rotatively driving the rotating shaft. Then the first placement material and the second placement material separately charged from the charging port and dropped are agitated and mixed by rotatively driving the agitation blades by the driving motor, to thereby deposit the materials in the underwater placement pipe.
