To provide a mixing element of a Kenix type static mixer which does not require a long casing and can reduce an amount of a fluid which remains in the casing to be of no use.
The mixing element of the static mixer is arranged in the casing with end parts of a circular-tube like or rectangular-tube like casing adjacent to each other in the axial direction disposed nearly orthogonally connected. the element consists of a thin flat-plate like partition wall part 1 which divides the inner part of a cross section of the casing into nearly equivalent areas when the element is installed in the casing, and a plurality of spiral blade parts 2, etc. having a shape formed by twisting a thin plate by nearly 180 toward the axial direction of the casing and having an outer periphery in the side of the partition wall part 1 integrated as abutted on the partition wall part 1, and the spiral blade parts are positioned in spaces divided by the partition wall part 1 in the casing, and the outer periphery in the casing side abuts on the inner wall of the casing over the whole length of each space.
