To provide a process for preparation of a lubricating base oil of a fraction obtained by Fischer-Tropsch process with less than 3 cSt viscosity at 100°C and suitable for mixing the fraction with a completed lubricating agent satisfying various specifications.
The fraction obtained by Fischer-Tropsch process with about 2 cSt or over to less than 3 cSt viscosity at 100°C is mixed with at least one additional fraction obtained by Fischer-Tropsch process with larger than about 3.8 cSt viscosity at 100°C to give the lubricating base oil obtained by Fischer-Tropsch process with about 3 cSt to about 10 cSt viscosity at 100°C, a lubricating base oil composition with less than about 35 wt.% of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) Noack volatility, and the completed lubricating agent using the lubricating base oil.
