A first screw shaft 1 provided with first screw vanes 11 and second screw vanes 12 and a second screw shaft 2 which is similarly provided with first screw vanes 21 and second screw vanes 22 are housed in a drying chamber comprising a horizontal casing 3 via a barrier wall 31 in parallel with each other. The respective screw shafts 1, 2 are arranged in such a manner that the directions of screw vanes 11, 21 (screw vanes 12, 22) are inverse, a barrier wall is not disposed in the vicinity of the end part of the respective screw shafts 1, 2, but an opening part 32a for circulating treated material is disposed and a treated material discharging port 33 is disposed on the bottom part of the casing.
