Abstract:
PURPOSE: To feed a rich mixture while continuing lean operation, and to judge the activated condition of an O2 sensor without using a dedicated valve.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel gas route 23 is connected in the way to an intake route 21 communicated to an intake valve opening 3b, and a bleed air route 24 is connected on the way to the fuel gas route 23, while a variable Venturi type mixer 25 is provided on connection part of the fuel gas route 23 of the intake route 21, and a bleed air control valve 27 for variably controlling the route area of the bleed air route 24 is provided. A mixture of specific air fuel ratio is formed by controlling the quantity of fuel gas by means of the bleed air level in a mixture forming device of a gas engine. An air fuel ratio control means (ECU) 42 is also provided, by which the opening of the bleed air control valve 27 is made to be bigger than the opening at the time of employing a theoretical air fuel ratio in a first idle region to carry out lean operation, while the opening of the bleed air control valve 27 is made to be gradually smaller than the opening at the time of employing the theoretical air fuel ratio at an interval by a short period of time, to feed a mixture of rich air fuel ratio.
