The power of a television tuner is turned on when the time of intermittent reception arrives (S13), a channel stored in a region for storing a view pattern is tuned (S14), and synchronous processing is made (S15). In synchronization, the start of a television application is confirmed regularly until current time becomes television tuner stop time T1 (S18, S19). When the television application has started, control is completed since the television application controls the television tuner. When the television application has not started until the current time reaches television tuner stop time T1, the power of the television tuner is turned off (S17) for completion.
