To provide a mobile communication apparatus that can transmit a telephone number with a simple operation.

The mobile communication apparatus is provided with an operation section 1 used for entry and processing designation, a storage section 2 that stores voice data of numerals 0-9, a storage section 3 that stores information of telephone directory data sets each comprising a name and a telephone number, a wireless section 9, a voice coding/decoding section 10 that encodes or decodes transmission/reception data, and a control circuit 12 that controls the entire sections above. When it is required to inform an opposite party about a telephone number of a 3rd party or the like during a speech and the operation section 1 is used to designate the desired telephone number, the control circuit 12 retrieves the telephone number from the telephone directory data in the storage section 3 and displays the telephone number on a display section 11. When a user viewing the display selects the telephone number, voice data of the telephone number are sequentially read from the storage section 2 and processed by the voice coding/decoding processing section 10, and the data are transmitted as the telephone number in voice.
