Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system which suppresses the increase of a control amount of an exchange because hand-offs that are associated with making a radio zone small frequency occur and also shortens a disconnection time of communication lines which is caused by the difference between a switching timing of an exchange switch at the hand-off control and a switching timing between a mobile station and a radio base station.
SOLUTION: This system is provided with a virtual zone controller 202 which has a distributing means that distributes information sent from an exchange to a plurality of radio base stations and a multiplex means which collects information sent from the plurality of base stations and transmits it to the exchange between the exchange 201 and the radio base stations 203-1 to 203-n, and only information that has an address designated by a radio base station is transmitted to a mobile station through a designated radio channel. When the radio station moved between radio zones which are controlled by the plurality of radio base stations that are housed by the controller 202, hand-off control can be performed without operating the exchange 201.
