PURPOSE: To simplify constitution on a mobile station side and to suppress a manufacture cost and weight by monitoring the level of signals transmitted from peripheral cells even during communication without using an exclusive receiver or the like.
CONSTITUTION: During a period when sound information to be a transmission object becomes non-sound on the side of a base station 12, the transmission power of an outgoing communication channel is turned off. Also, it is informed on the side of the mobile station 13 by a frame arranged in front of the frame to be transmission off by using the outgoing communication channel. On the side of the mobile station 13 which receives it, the reception of the outgoing communication channel is stopped, perch channels transmitted from the respective base stations 12 present in the peripheral cells are successively received, the perch channel for which a reception level becomes highest is detected and the processings of handing over or the like are performed based on the detected result.
