A bookmark representing each line folder of a telephone directory memory 61 is created and displayed on a display unit 54, and number keys of a dial key pad 531 are associated with characters of the bookmark. When any one of the number keys is operated, call origination destination information is read from a head of the corresponding line folder and displayed on the display unit 54. When the number key corresponding to the line being displayed is continuously pressed, in accordance the number of times in which the number key is operated, the heads of second and following stages in the call origination destination information of the line being displayed are searched.
