To provide an attendance/leaving management system which manages attendance/leaving while protecting privacy of personnel.
The attendance/leaving management system 10 is equipped with a portable terminal 100 and a management server 200. A positional information acquisition section 110 of a portable terminal 100 acquires positional information at every specified time. A storage section 120 stores an acquired current position and acquired date and hour. A mobile side determination section 130 determines for the first time on the day indicated by the date and hour whether current position has become within the given range of the attendance schedule. When the current position is determined that it has become within the given range of the attendance schedule for the first time as the result of determination, a recognition section 140 recognizes the date as the attendance day, and a mobile side communications section 150 transmits the attendance date and hour and the current position to the management server 200. Thereby, privacy of personnel can be protected, since it is not necessary to transmit the current position to the management server 200 periodically.
