To provide a mobile follow-up system which realizes a direction estimation at a low cost.
A follow-up terminal 1 and a mobile terminal 2, which constitute a mobile follow-up system 10, can mutually perform data transmission, and a direction sensor part 13 can acquire a direction of the follow-up terminal 1. Intermittent swing motions are applied to the follow-up terminal 1, and a swing detection part 14 detects a swing in accordance with the acquired directions, and notifies a mobile terminal 2 of information of the swing zone. On the basis of the information, a sound wave analysis part 23 obtains a received part, which is received at a wave form reception part 22 among a part corresponding to the swing zone at the time when a sound wave transmission part 12 continuously transmits a predetermined pulse sound wave at a predetermined interval, and returns a reception interval. A direction estimation part 15 estimates, on the basis of a difference between transmission and reception intervals, a direction of the mobile terminal 2. A direction amending part 16 amends, on the basis of a history of estimated directions, an estimated direction.
