To provide a mobile image display device that can readily be utilized by a user even when a memory card storing image data photographed by digital still cameras of different manufacturers and different models is loaded to the mobile image display device.

The memory card stores image data photographed by digital still cameras of different manufacturers, different models and different image formats. The mobile image display device of this invention is provided with a display device, simple entry buttons and two memory card sockets, and can convert the image formats of the image data stored in the memory card into a prescribed display format so as to display the converted image data onto the display device and copy the converted image data to other memory card thereby smoothing out discrepancies of the image formats of the memory card or the like. Furthermore, by overlaying the image on a background by using the two memory cards, the image can be synthesized on a template prepared for the background or an object image previously photographed.
