To prevent prolongation of charging time even if a function consuming a current is performed during charging operation of a portable telephone.
When a communication system apparatus 6a for performing communication with another communication apparatus or a non-communication system apparatus 7a performing a function other than that for communicating with another communication apparatus is operating during charging operation of the power supply 14 of the portable telephone 1, current consumption required for that operation is added to a charging current being fed to the power supply 14.
