To provide a mobile phone terminal device which allows its present state to be easily recognized while having an operation simplified and reduces the occurrence of malfunction.
When a hardware switch 2 is extracted from an adapter 3, a detection part 12 detects that the hardware switch 2 has been extracted from the adapter 3, and outputs the detection result to a control part 14. When the detection part 12 detects that the hardware switch 2 has been extracted from the adapter 3, the control part 14 performs an input operation of a telephone number being a prescribed destination and a manipulating operation of a call start button 10 to perform an operation for originating a call to a preliminarily set destination. A user can easily recognize whether a mobile phone terminal device 1 is in such a state that a desired operation is performed or not by only confirming whether the hardware switch 2 is attached to the adapter 3 or not.
