Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile station operated by switching two bands capable of detecting a peripheral zone of the two bands without increasing the current consumption.
SOLUTION: A mobile phone 100 for making communication with a wireless base station on the basis of a time division multiplex system and selecting a wireless base station making communication in response to a reception level of a radio wave sent from wireless base stations around the wireless base station making communication, is provided with: a control section 106 or switching two bands in a free slot period in a frame subjected to time division multiplex; a reception level detection section 105 for respectively detecting the reception level of the radio wave as to the two bands, a CPU 108 for reading the level of the detected radio wave at an interval of 2 ms; and a buffer 118 for storing the received level of the radio wave until the CPU 108 reads the level.
