Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide carbon black which can reduce the prolongation of a UHF vulcanization time and to provide a rubber composition containing the carbon black.
CONSTITUTION: The title rubber composition containing carbon black which has basic properties of a dibutyl phthalate absorption of 110-140ml/100g, and an iodine adsorption (IA) of above 25mg/g to below 35mg/g and has an N2SA/IA ratio of 0.85-1.00 wherein N2SA is the nitrogen adsorption specific surface area and a modal diameter (Dst) in terms of a Stokes equivalent diameter as determined by centrifugal settling analysis satisfying formula (1) and a tinting power satisfying formula (2): Dst=(DBPA)-7.5(IA)+405,...(1), and tinting power ≤IA+20...(2).
