To provide a mobile terminal capable of enhancing the effect of false impulse display using a batch-illumination back light which does not divisionally illuminate.
The mobile terminal includes a liquid crystal module which displays an image, the continuous-illumination back light, and a liquid crystal shutter arranged over between the liquid crystal module and back light. Then a display screen of the liquid crystal module and a surface of the liquid crystal shutter are divided into equal numbers of band areas. In the timing of a field 1a of a frame 1, the part of a band area A in the input frame image F1 is changed to a black image and the frame image F1 is left in other band areas B, C, and D. In the timing of a field 1b of a next frame 1, the part of the band area B which is shifted to is changed to a black image for the same frame image F1 which is input. According to the shift position of the black image, a band area of the liquid crystal shutter is shielded from light.
