Title:
MOBILE TERMINAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008283474
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the problem that resonance of vibrations of a vibrator signaling an incoming call causes noise to annoy peripheral persons as a result when a mobile phone which is set in a manner mode not to annoy the peripheral persons by unexpected sound emission during a conference or the like is put on a desk.

The mobile phone 1 includes a vibrator 11, a movement sensor 6, and an impact sensor 7. Movement of the mobile phone 1 is periodically monitored by the movement sensor 6, and the intensity, duration, and waveform of an impact in a period from movement to stop are measured by the impact sensor 7 when the mobile phone is changed from a moving state to a stop state. A state of a surface on which the mobile phone 1 is put is recognized by measurement results. In the case that it is determined that vibrations of the vibrator 11 will resonate on this surface, an incoming call is signaled by an alternative notification device 12 without signaling the incoming call by the vibrator 11 though the mobile phone 1 is set in the manner mode, whereby the occurrence of noise is prevented.
