This model railroad signal is provided with a plurality of signal lamps 61a-61e, a sensor 62 detecting a timing when a train traveling on rails 2a and 2b passes a predetermined position, and a control part 63 sequentially changing over a series of lighting patterns of the plurality of signal lamps 61a-61e. The control part 63 counts a time from a sensor 62 detecting the passing of the train till its detecting the passing of the train next. The control part 63 variably sets a changeover timing changing over the lighting patterns according to the counted time.
