Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model ship for towing basin test that is improved in manufacturing efficiency and can have a stable solid structure, and to provide a method of manufacturing the ship.
SOLUTION: An inner mold 4 is manufactured by erecting a gate-like supporting frame 3 on both side frames of an inner frame 2 formed in a frame- like form along the outer periphery of the deck section of the main body 1 of the model ship. Then a plurality of panels 7 is manufactured by respectively fixing pluralities of square balsa bars 6 on the outer peripheral surfaces of substrates 5 in parallel with each other and closely to each other and fixed along the external form of the main body 1 with the balsa bars 6 on the outside so that the longitudinal directions of the balsa bars 6 may become parallel to that of the main body 1. Finally, the angular balsa bars 6 are shaped by cutting the bars 6 along the outer peripheral shape of the main body 1.
