Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a sodium carboxymethylcellulose having high printing viscosity index(PVI) or thixotropic property and low viscosity.
CONSTITUTION: A sodium carboxymethylcellulose having a 2% aqueous solution viscosity of 1,000-100,000mpa.s and a PVI value of ≤0.5 is modified to a sodium carboxymethylcellulose having a 2% aqueous solution viscosity of 5-50mpa.s and a PVI value of ≤0.5 by irradiating the sodium carboxymethylcellulose having a 2% aqueous solution viscosity of 1,000-100,000mpa.s and a PVI value of ≤0.5 with ionizing radiations or UV rays.
