Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a modified cyclopentadiene resin suitable for binder resins for printing, etc., having a good miscibility and solubility, by reacting a cyclopentadiene compound with a natural resin acid and a phenol resin at a specific ratio.

CONSTITUTION: The objective resin is obtained by reacting (A) 20 to 80 (wt.)% of a cyclopentadiene compound (B) 1 to 40% of a natural resin acid such as rosin and (C) 31 to 70% of a phenol resin.
