Abstract:
To provide a modified epoxidized polyphenylene ether resin that has an excellent compatibility with an epoxy resin.
The modified epoxidized polyphenylene ether resin is represented by the general formula (1) (wherein A is a hydrogen atom or a specific monofunctional organic group containing one epoxy group and a phenylene ether group; m is an integer of 1; R1 and R2 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a monofunctional function group; X1 and Y1 are each independently a bifunctional or polyfunctional functional group; and U is an alkylcarbonyl group, an arylcarbonyl group, a carbamoyl group, an alkylcarbamoyl group, an arylcarbamoyl group or a glycidyl group).
